Getting to Kristiansand and UiA

There are several ways to get to Kristiansand

By air:

Further, Kristiansand has an AIRPORT (Kristiansand lufthavn, Kjevik) with flights usually going over Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Bergen or Oslo.

You can also consider flying to Oslo, Stavanger, or Sandefjord and taking public transportation (bus or train) to Kristiansand . The bus and/ or train from Oslo to Kristiansand takes roughly 4.5 hours.

By Train:

By Buss:

By Ferry:

Coming from Denmark, you can take the FERRY from Hirtshals directly to Kristiansand. InJune , the boats go several times a day. The journey takes 2.5-3.5h and is also very beautiful as you go through the typical Southern Norwegian Skjærgården. You can find travel info here:

Bus
Bus stop: UiA/Spicheren

To/from the city centre:
All “M” buses (M1, M2 etc.) departing from Henrik Wergelands gate pl. C runs via the university.

To/from Kristiansand Airport Kjevik:
Bus number 35 runs between the airport and the city centre and stops at the university along the way.

From Kristiansand Port to campus

The Port of Kristiansand is located in the same place as Kristiansand Bus Station with many bus connections.
