Description:

Nestled in the heart of Southern Norway, Dyreparken is more than an animal park — it is a living showcase of Nordic wildlife, youth empowerment, and cutting-edge digital innovation. With over one million annual visitors, Dyreparken stands as one of Scandinavia’s most beloved attractions, blending immersive nature experiences with future-focused leadership.

Dive into Dyreparken´s unique blend of youth development, AI-driven customer experiences, and a behind-the-scenes look at Nordic wildlife in action.

Program:

13:20   Arrive at Dyreparken

13:30  Walk to the “Pirates Theater”

13:30  Presentations by Dyreparken; Q&As; and discussions around the tables

The CEO, Per Arnstein Aamodt,  will open with an engaging address outlining Dyreparken’s history, development, and current institutional standing.

Founded in 1966, Dyreparken has evolved from a regional zoological park into a nationally significant experience-based institution. Today, it represents:

  • One of Norway’s strongest cultural and tourism brands
  • A major regional employer and economic driver
  • A modern zoological institution committed to sustainability
  • A year-round destination integrating wildlife, education, and experiential storytelling

Tina Haagensen, biologist at Kristiansand Dyrepark, will present the park’s structured conservation program and its expanding role in science-based education.

Dyreparken actively participates in European breeding programs. The park functions as a living laboratory where applied zoological science meets public engagement.

A central component of Dyreparken’s strategy is its national digital education initiative, through live-streamed and curriculum-aligned teaching modules delivered directly into classrooms across Norway.

15:00  After an inspiring introduction from our experts, we invite you to step into the heart of the Nordic wilderness.

On this guided journey, you’ll come face to face with some of the most fascinating animals of the Norwegian forests — including wolves, moose, lynx, and wolverines. Alongside our knowledgeable animal keepers, you’ll gain unique insights, hear captivating stories, and perhaps discover something you never knew before.

And to make the experience even more enjoyable, there will be something tasty to enjoy along the way.

Duration: approximately 1 hour – before you can continue to explore the park on your own or head back toward Kristiansand at your own convenience.
