Short description:
Many firms face urgent and complex challenges. These include geopolitical threats, rapid technological shifts, demographic changes, and overregulation, all demanding greater adaptability. In a disruptive environment, organizations must embrace agility, innovation, and resilience across all functions. Disruption affects strategy, marketing, supply chains, and human resources, often requiring a comprehensive, organization-wide response. The conference theme invites research on how management can effectively navigate disruption.

T14_02 – Strategic management as enhanced, disrupted or challenged by generative AI
Artificial intelligence (AI), is heavily impacting work, organizations, global politics and society at large. Researchers suggest that AI will transform industries and challenge existing business models. Establishing and keeping a competitive advantage and enabling durable superior value creation is challenging in a world dominated by advanced general purpose technologies available to all. Under such conditions, best-practices are rapidly adopted by competitors and business models and new approaches to value creation are pivoted at a high speed. As a result, strategy, and strategizing is likely to change, and the nature and competence needed for strategic leadership will be challenged.
UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG):
Goal 3: Good health and well-being for people; Goal 4: Quality education; Goal 5: Gender equality; Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth; Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure; Goal 10: Reducing inequalities; Goal 12: Responsible consumption and production; Goal 17: Partnerships for the goals
