GT14_00 General Track
We live in an interconnected world that faces great challenges in shaping its FUTURE. In response, we must find new ways to stimulate sustainable economic growth by creating new jobs and economic opportunities for all, serving society, protecting the environment and strengthen the global response to climate change. At the same time, we must learn to adjust to the pandemic’s ‘new normal’ and to cope with new threats that may arise in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, such as economic, financial and health crises, cyber threats, and large-scale humanitarian crises. To address these challenges, we must initiate a fair dialogue among all stakeholders and groups involved. These include scholars, private and public companies, other organisations, and policymakers at the national and supranational levels.

GENERAL TRACK 2021 TRACKS
T14_01 – Glocal HRM as a possible path to sustainalism
One of the drivers towards a more sustainable organisation is digital transformation. HRM can integrate both principles – sustainability and digitalization – promoting the engagement of employees in these realigned priorities. Glocal HRM integrates and is influenced by global trends but has to adjust them to each specific organisational setting when implementing actions in practice. This track invites theoretical and empirical papers, either qualitative or quantitative, on the challenges and opportunities that glocal HRM offers as a response to sustainalism (sustainable capitalism).
UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG):
Goal 5: Gender equality, Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth, Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, Goal 12: Responsible consumption and production, Goal 13: Climate action

Open to all paradigms, this track invites decidedly philosophical, historical, theoretical and conceptual contributions from scholars with backgrounds in management and organisation studies, sociology, economics, anthropology, history, philosophy, information science, communication studies, and further appropriate fields of sciences.
