Our society has grown a lot in the past three years and may continue to grow in the near future. Our last annual conference reached a new record number, with over 2000 participants. While growth is important as it demonstrates the high scholarly interest in both joining our society and attending our events, I consider it more relevant to continue to develop an inclusive and engaged society of management scholars. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from the survey on the conference experience indicates that the local organisers did an amazing job, and I can assure you that we will work to address the few issues raised by some members to fine-tune the organisation of the next annual conference. I warmly thank once again the entire team of the University of Florence led by Sara De Masi and Andrea Paci, the SIG and track chairs, the VPs and the staff, the guest speakers and panellists, the sessions chairs and discussants, the reviewers and submitters, the guest speakers, and – last but not least – our partner DEKON. They did a fantastic job helping EURAM celebrate its 25th anniversary!

The next conference and doctoral colloquium (DC) will be hosted by the University of Agder, in Kristiansand. In the meantime, you may also consider joining EURAM’s Early Career Colloquium in Toulouse on March 25-27, a great opportunity to share your research work and explore new collaboration opportunities with peers.

Under the leadership of Thomas Durand, chair of the EURAM board, a group of members (including the President, some VPs, board members and other members of the society) has developed a document analysing the current academic context, assessing future trends, and outlining possible strategic directions for EURAM. During the annual conference, the EURAM board and executive committee met together to discuss which strategic paths to follow in the future. Since September, the board and the executive committee has begun developing new projects and initiatives aimed at enriching the personal and professional development of our members. As usual, we will pay special attention to the youngest or least experienced ones, as they represent the future of our society.

Finally, I would like to welcome three new VPs to our Society: Jatinder Sidhu, VP for research; Till Talaulicar, VP for Academic Development; and Zeynep Yalabik, VP for International Engagement. While Jatinder will fulfil a traditional role within EURAM, Till and Zeynep will develop new initiatives. Specifically, Till will enrich the academic program of our annual conference by creating new sessions aimed at strengthening the academic skills and experiences of attendees, while Zeynep will guide and coordinate the country representatives so that they can be more involved and active actors within EURAM. This study explores how marketing professionals strategically mix influencer marketing and user-generated content (UGC) to create campaigns that both inspire and feel genuine. Through in depth conversations with agency experts, the research uncovers how influencers ignite attention, while UGC sustains trust over time. The findings show that authenticity isn’t just a happy accident, it’s something agencies carefully design and manage. The consortium of universities (including Erasmus University Rotterdam) and civil society actors developed three Participatory Business Models, translated into practical pathways for museums and libraries. These models were tested and validated by nine institutions across Europe through Living Labs, demonstrating their feasibility, transferability, and measurable benefits. They encourage a shift from passive engagement to collective resource management, platform building, and ownership arrangements that share risks and benefits between organisations and communities.
RECHARGE also released practical tools, including the Participatory Business Modelling Canvas and the RECHARGE Playbook, to support the adoption of participatory practices. These insights are relevant for researchers and practitioners across sectors.
Explore our models and case studies here: https://recharge-culture.eu/processes/knowledge-base

SIG 04 - FABR - Family Business Research

SIG 05 – GRDO – Gender, Race, and Diversity in Organisations

SIG 06 – INNO - Innovation

The award winning Circular Economy Innovation Communities (CEIC) project, delivered by Cardiff Metropolitan & Swansea Universities in Wales, delivered a collaborative 2 day workshop at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) on 10 & 11 September.
