style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dear EURAM colleagues and friends,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">the 25<sup>th<\/sup> EURAM Annual Conference \u2018Managing with Purpose\u2019, that has been held 22-25<sup>th<\/sup> of June at the University of Florence, has been a great success! The conference included 80 tracks, 1,430 papers presented in over 500 sessions, 31 symposia, and 7 labs. It has been attended by 2,084 delegates from 67 countries, while 73 PhDs have participated to the Doctoral Colloquium and more than 500 delegates attended the labs. The keynotes \u2013 i.e., Vivien A. Schmidt on wake-up Europe; Serena Porcari and Albena Bjork on Social entrepreneurship \u2013 have helped us to develop a deeper and more unconventional perspective on two timely and relevant topics. I express my sincere gratitude to all EURAM stakeholders that made this possible: the SIG chairs, the Track chairs, the Symposia &amp; Lab panelists, the submitters, the reviewers, the local organizers (the University of Florence amazing team lead by Sara and Andrea), the Chairs of the Doctoral Colloquium, the Country Representatives, the Fellows, the ExCom, the Board, the EURAM staff and the DEKON team.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 2025 EURAM annual conference has been a bittersweet meeting for me, and probably also for all members.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sweet because we celebrated our 25<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary. Our founding President (Joan Enric Ricart) told me that EURAM founders started with big dreams and no financial resources. Today, our society is a large Society with more than 2,500 members and a solid financial position. Recently, we organized a series of strategic meetings to develop strategic directions to implement in the near future. Stay tuned for more information!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bitter because EURAM has been hit by a terrible loss this year. Unfortunately, our long-standing friend and staff member Luisa Jaffe passed away few months ago. We missed her smile, her attention to details, her care and generosity for others, and her invaluable support to our society. We remained with her sweet memories, that will be always with us and our society. We are already working for the 26<sup>th<\/sup> EURAM annual conference that will be held the 16-19<sup>th<\/sup> June 2026 at the University of Agder, Norway. Her work highlights angels&#8217; continuous learning throughout their investor career and also their involvement aiming to enhance start-up sustainability. She underlines the importance of active involvement and collaboration across the ecosystem. Two of the four articles are published, one in Journal of Small Business Management and one in Venture Capital, another one will be presented at the Academy of Management conference, and the last one has received the ESU &#8211; European University Network on Entrepreneurship 2024 best paper award. Social, economic and technological trends such as advancing globalisation, changing forms of employment, digitalisation and the subjectivisation of work mean that careers can no longer be adequately understood as a sequence of activities in an organisation (cf. Sullivan &amp; Baruch, 2009, (Gunz &amp; Mayrhofer, 2018). In any case, the career does not exist. The above trends lead to different career types (cf. e.g. Arthur, 1994; Briscoe et al., 2006), career paths and their inherent logic, in which contextual factors play a significant role. Details of the voting procedure and the platform to be used will be communicated thereafter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kind regards,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Diego Matricano<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ENT Sig Chair<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><div  class='hr av-22ipce-4-3-1-1-1-1-2b14a12f495c771cde5d03523cd883cd hr-short  avia-builder-el-77  el_before_av_hr  avia-builder-el-first  hr-left'><span class='hr-inner '><span class=\"hr-inner-style\"><\/span><\/span><\/div><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>[SIG 06 \u2013 INNO &#8211; Innovation]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As part of the <strong>Bank of Israel\u2019s digital shekel project<\/strong>, a business and functional design process of the digital shekel system is being conducted.\u00a0 This is part of the action plan for the potential issuance of a digital shekel.\u00a0 The design process is based on an analysis of the required functionalities to support the motivations defined for issuing a digital shekel, as well as insights gained from various stakeholders, including public forums managed by the project.\u00a0 This study examines, for the first time, the public\u2019s attitudes toward the digital shekel, and insights from the study will be used in furthering the design process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The study, which was conducted by Prof. Ruth Plato-Shinar, Dr. Libby Maman, Adv. Lilah Shema Zlatokrilov, CPA and Dr. Nir Yaacobi, examined the Israeli public\u2019s readiness to adopt a digital shekel, and the features of a digital shekel that may increase the public\u2019s willingness to use it.\u00a0 The study included various statistical analyses to identify differences in this readiness based on various personal characteristics: demographic differences, financial and digital literacy, and trust in various systems, including the Bank of Israel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main findings:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">More than half of the respondents (51.57%) showed a high level of interest in using the digital shekel.\u00a0 Thirty-four percent of the public expressed a very high level of interest, and 17 percent expressed medium-high interest.\u00a0 This finding indicates a high potential for adopt the digital shekel by the Israeli public.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The study also examined what features of the digital shekel may increase its use.\u00a0 The clear advantages of the digital shekel as noted by the sample participants in open-ended questions were all related to ease of use.\u00a0 Other prominent features include customer protection against fraud and system errors, the Bank of Israel\u2019s backing of the currency, and the innovation embedded in it.\u00a0 In contrast, the main concerns raised by the survey participants were cybersecurity and information security risks, difficulty of use, and lack of accessibility for certain population groups.\u00a0 Unlike findings in some other countries, privacy concerns did not emerge as a dominant issue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Participants were then presented with a series of potential features of a digital shekel, some of which do not exist with current payment methods and were not mentioned by respondents in the open-ended questions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The study also examined personal characteristics that may influence the willingness to adopt a digital shekel.\u00a0 Men showed higher interest than women in the digital shekel.\u00a0 Interest in the digital shekel was positively correlated with age and with income level.\u00a0 The level of education was not found to be an influencing factor.\u00a0 The study also found that the level of interest in the Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) community was lower than in the rest of the population, and that the highest level of interest was identified among secular individuals.\u00a0 Other significant factors contributing to the level of interest in the digital shekel included high financial and digital literacy, self-perceived technological proficiency, holding cryptocurrencies, and a propensity for risk.\u00a0 A high level of trust in the Bank of Israel also contributed to greater interest in the digital shekel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Most of the study\u2019s findings are similar to those of studies conducted by other central banks.\u00a0 However, two major differences were found.\u00a0 The first has to do with the issue of privacy.\u00a0 In Israel, the issue was found to privacy emerged as a major concern.\u00a0 The second difference has to do with the demographic characteristic of age.\u00a0 In Israel, the findings indicate a greater willingness to adopt a digital shekel as age increases, particularly over the age of 40.\u00a0 In contrast, some of the studies by other central banks show that it is the younger population that is most ready to adopt a digital currency.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/euram.academy\/content\/contributions\/20250710-111834_8rynRUB7.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/euram.academy\/content\/contributions\/20250710-111834_8rynRUB7.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><div  class='hr av-22ipce-4-3-1-1-1-1-2-1e31fd7a2cf2c96b364eede224046658 hr-short  avia-builder-el-78  el_after_av_hr  el_before_av_hr  hr-left'><span class='hr-inner '><span class=\"hr-inner-style\"><\/span><\/span><\/div><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>[SIG 09 \u2013 OB HRM &#8211;
