Expand

Exchange knowledge, expand your networks and generate meaningful conversations with leading management and organisation studies scholars!

Experienced management scholars will share their knowledge about undertaking doctoral research and pursuing a career in academia. They will guide you in your chosen research area and help you navigate through the challenges and questions you identify in your submission. There will be discussion of alternative career paths by various management scholars including a practitioner in a chosen industry, an entrepreneur utilising research base, and a policy maker in an international organisation. Learning from those scholars and asking them all the questions you have always wanted to ask is a great opportunity for your career development. Do not miss this opportunity to learn about the tacit knowledge underlying a PhD journey and get useful insights on how to complete a PhD in a successful way as well as how to develop a career trajectory transitioning out of your PhD.

Collaborate

Collaborate with your peers, participant speakers and mentors!

Collaboration is at the heart of our doctoral colloquium. The largest part of the EURAM Doctoral Colloquium (DC) is dedicated to the discussion of your papers in small mentoring teams groups – each supervised by an experienced senior academic mentor, many of who are globalthought leaders and distinguished scholars in their field, and highly experienced supervisors. The aim of DC is not to ask you give a “traditional” paper presentation, but to discuss your research with your peers in the DC group as well as your Mentor. In mentoring group discussion, you can seek advice and guidance on the key issues and challenges you are experiencing in a particular phase of doctoral research you are in. These highly intensive and interactive mentoring sessions make our EURAM DC distinctive, collaborative and future orientated. Through these mentoring team sessions as well as fun networking and social activities we curate for you, we aim to connect you with your peers and senior scholars in your field. We hope that we will make you an active participant of the research ecosystem for a life-time collaboration opportunity with likeminded peers and mentors, in other words a dedicated EURAMer!

Express and Connect

The EURAM Doctoral Colloquium offers you a unique platform to express your research vision and communicate your scholarly mission to diverse audiences. It is an inspiring space to connect with an international network of academics, mentors, and broader beneficiaries and users of research who share your passion for advancing responsible and impactful scholarship.

You will have the chance to showcase your talent and achievements, and to compete for our two prestigious awards: the EURAM 2025 Doctoral Colloquium Best Paper Award and the Relevant and Responsible Research Award. Our Award Committee will carefully review all nominated submissions and select the winners of these awards, recognising research that exemplifies academic excellence, originality, and societal relevance. This is a wonderful opportunity to enhance the visibility of your work, gain international recognition as an emerging scholar, and contribute to the community of researchers committed to rigorous, meaningful, and forward-looking research.

Engage and Stay with us

Identify your way of joining the EURAM community of researchers!

We are truly proud to report that last year 74% of our doctoral colloquium participants chose to stay on for the main EURAM conference. Through our active and genuine engagement with the doctoral researchers community, this participation has increased over the years. We are delighted with this amazing commitment of our doctoral students who have become astute observers of the wider EURAM community and the associated opportunities while finding their own space within EURAM community. By engaging with us through the DC, you will realise the long-term benefits of being a loyal EURAMer. DC community highly value and reward being a EURAMer! We are delighted to offer Doctoral Colloquium Scholarships designed to support your participation and active engagement in the event. We encourage you to take full advantage of these valuable opportunities.

You will get guidance on how to become part of our EURAM research community. We will, for instance, invite you to become part of the European Early Career Community (EECC) and the EURAM Strategic Interest Groups (SIGs). The SIGs are the “heart and soul” of our association and SIG representatives will join in – not only with their scientific expertise as mentors and/or speakers – but also with insights on the further development of EURAM that may be of great value for you as early career researchers. Join us, connect with us, and stay with us by attending our main conference and other events throughout the year. Help us shape the future of EURAM and the future of management and organisations together!

How to Apply?

Important dates

Deadline for submissions to Doctoral Colloquium: 14 January 2026.

Notification of acceptance: 26 February 2026

Deadline for registration: 16 April 2026

Onsite Doctoral Colloquium: 15-16 June 2026

To attend the onsite Doctoral Colloquium, PhD students need to submit their paper to the Doctoral Colloquium before 14 January 2026 and receive a notification of acceptance (26 February 2026).
