justify;\">Types of sessions<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Competitive paper sessions<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#paper\">Paper Development Sessions<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Competitive Paper Sessions<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Competitive paper sessions are regular sessions where three or four papers are presented. Sessions will last 1.5 hours (90 minutes).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Authors will have about 10 to 15 minutes to present their work (10 min. for 4 paper sessions and 15 min for 3 paper sessions). A discussant \u2013 if the SIG \/ Track has allocated discussants to a session &#8211; will then have about 5 to10 minutes to provide comments and feedback. The remainder of the time is left for discussion, questions and comments. All attendees are invited to participate in the debate.<\/p>\n<p>Presenters are free to use their own Powerpoint template.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Roles and responsibilities in Competitive Paper Sessions<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chairpersons of competitive paper sessions (mandatory):<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Reading papers to be presented in the session in advance<\/li>\n<li>Contacting the discussant in advance of the conference to make sure she\/he knows her\/his role<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that the session starts and ends on time<\/li>\n<li>Introducing the discussant, each author and their papers<\/li>\n<li>Enforcing time limits on the presenters and the discussant<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that Q&amp;A part runs smoothly<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating with the Track Chair<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Discussants in competitive paper sessions (optional):<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Reading papers to be presented in the session in advance to prepare comments and feedback<\/li>\n<li>Providing constructive feedback to each paper by \u2013 for instance &#8211; pointing out similarities and differences between the papers or helping to the further development of the paper by asking critical but constructive questions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Authors:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>If the paper is accepted, registering for and attending the conference to present it<\/li>\n<li>Acting as session chair or discussant if requested<\/li>\n<li>Respecting deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Presenting his\/her paper within the time limits established by the organisation and the chairperson of the session<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If for any reason the author cannot present the paper she\/he should inform the EURAM local organising committee (<span id=\"cloaked0df3f5a78863bedbde0ac5ecafd3bc\"><a href=\"mailto:info@euram.academy\">info@euram.academy<\/a><\/span>) before the paper is included in the final programme. Failure to do so will trigger the EURAM \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/conferences.euram.academy\/2025conference\/no-show-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">No Show Policy<\/a>\u201d\u00a0for that particular author.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a name=\"paper\"><\/a>Paper Development Sessions<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">(these sessions have to be carefully managed by chairs before the conference):<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Paper development sessions are interactive sessions chaired and moderated by an experienced scholar. Three or four papers will be discussed to explore areas for further development and research. The aim of the session is to provide constructive and developmental feedback to authors. Inputs are mainly provided by the other attending authors who are participating in the session, and by the session chairperson.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Each paper will be presented by a different discussant (one of the two other authors). Each discussant will be given 10 minutes for the presentation and 15 minutes for plenary discussion. The chairperson is expected to identify strengths and weaknesses in each paper and to moderate the discussion by ensuring effective time management. Delegates attending the session will also be invited to participate actively and contribute to the session with constructive input.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Session and Track Chairs will make sure that each author receives the paper that she\/he must discuss in advance.
