href=\"https:\/\/conferences.euram.academy\/2022conference\/theme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>theme<\/u><\/strong><\/a> is\u202f<strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong><u>Leading the Digital Transformation<\/u><\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"3AGVmEI4hHNQY\">\u201cSoftware is eating the world,\u201d wrote Marc Andreessen in his memorable Wall Street Journal essay in 2011. In the wake of this technological upheaval, organisations are being transformed in fundamental ways across a broad spectrum of industries \u2013 from manufacturing, education and retailing to finance and health care.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"3AGVmEI4hHNQY\">The ongoing shift towards information technology, along with (big) data, algorithms, and smart analytics, affects all sectors (private, public and non-profit) and is changing how organizations create value. Besides a blurring of industry boundaries, modular business architectures and new definitions of business performance are just some of the consequences of this transformation. To succeed, businesses need to be data-driven and digitally optimised, generate vast amounts of data, and analyse it intelligently.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"3AGVmEI4hHNQY\">Changes that have happened since the dawn of the information age in the mid-20th century provide clues about what is to come; organisations failing to recognise the signs can quickly be upended. In particular, data has become a valuable new currency to be mined and exploited, bought and sold \u2013 by fair means or foul. Even by collecting and judiciously analysing more data from their own activities, companies develop practices to help them make accurate forecasts and derive sound business decisions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"3AGVmEI4hHNQY\">The COVID-19 pandemic, the most recent disruption not only to our private lives but to every organisation on the planet, has further accelerated digital transformation to accommodate changing consumer behaviour. In recent months, consumers have become accustomed to online everything \u2013 from shopping and learning to banking and entertainment. At the same time, not all businesses have suffered equally, with some benefiting, for example, from being able to reduce their office space. Since everyone will be keen to take advantage of the \u201cnew normal,\u201d many of these technology-driven changes are here to stay.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"3AGVmEI4hHNQY\">As leaders of digital transformation, managers must find new sources of competitive advantage in these data-driven markets. This means reassessing core competencies and business strategies. Company-wide change management policies may be required to bring in people with fresh skills, integrating them with existing staff, and redefining how the company engages with its stakeholders \u2013 from the supply chain to the customer. For organisations, digital transformation is not a matter of implementing a single project but rather a whole series of different projects across all organisational units. To achieve this, they also need the competence to manage change itself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"3AGVmEI4hHNQY\">When considering these complex issues, we encourage conference participants to adopt an interdisciplinary approach by combining insights and strategies from previously distinct fields. We welcome contributions that transcend the boundaries between disciplines and connect academic work and professional practice. Deadline<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">Please respect the deadlines, especially the paper submission deadline: <strong>11 January 2022 &#8211; 2 pm Belgian time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\"><strong>III.\u202fAuthors\u2019 Guidelines for Full Papers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">To ensure that it is possible to publish your paper in the proceedings it is essential that all authors strictly follow the <a class=\"link-build-content\" href=\"https:\/\/conferences.euram.academy\/2022conference\/authors-guidelines-for-full-papers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>guidelines<\/u><\/strong><\/a> and formatting instructions for both preparation and submission of all papers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">For EURAM 2022, the abstracts and full papers will be published in e-format and for the latter, accessible for registered delegates only.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">The proceedings will carry the <strong>ISSN 2466-7498 and ISBN 978-2-9602195-4-8.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">Each paper will be screened to ensure compliance with EURAM\u2019s guidelines. Papers which do not match the EURAM requirements will be desk-rejected and authors will not have the opportunity to submit an updated version.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">Please read below instructions carefully prior to submitting and remember to select at least one of the <a class=\"link-build-content\" href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.un.org\/goals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>Sustainable Development Goals<\/u><\/strong><\/a> your research addresses (UN SDGs):<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">1. Each paper can only be submitted to ONE track.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">2. Submitted papers must NOT have been previously published and if under review, must NOT appear in print before the EURAM 2022 Conference.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">3. To facilitate the blind review process, remove ALL authors identifying information, including acknowledgements from the text, and document\/file properties (any submissions with author information will be automatically DELETED; author information and acknowledgements are to be included in the submission form).<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">4. The abstract should not exceed 400 words and should be included both in the PDF and the submission form.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">5. Include 3 keywords in the submission form. A maximum of 6 keywords is allowed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">6. The entire paper (title page, abstract, main text, figures, tables, references, etc.) must be in ONE anonymised document created in PDF format.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">7. The maximum length of the paper is 40 pages (including ALL tables, appendices and references). The minimum length of the paper is 10 pages. The paper format should follow the <a class=\"link-build-content\" href=\"https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/page\/journal\/17404762\/homepage\/forauthors.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>European Management Review Style Guide<\/u><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">As an overall principle:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>\u00a0For your abstract you may have <strong>up to 400 words<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0For your paper length, <strong>40 pages maximum prevails over 9,000 words<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">8. Use Times New Roman 12-pitch font, double spaced, and 1-inch (2.5 cm) margin all around.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">9. Number all the pages of the paper.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">10. No changes in the paper title, abstract, authorship, track and actual paper can occur AFTER the submission deadline.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">11. Check that the PDF File of your paper prints correctly and ensure that the file is virus-free. Submissions will be done on-line on the EURAM 2022 submission system (platform opens on 1st of December).<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">12. Only submissions in English shall be accepted for review.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">13. In case of acceptance, the author or one of the co-authors should be available to present the paper at the conference. A <strong>presenting author<\/strong>* can only present one paper at the conference.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">14. If you submit a paper, you agree to review at least two papers for EURAM 2022 in the track you have submitted your paper to.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\"><strong>* ONE PRESENTING AUTHOR = ONE PAPER<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"text-build-content\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-testid=\"fX1otJ5sp\">Each individual is limited to one personal appearance on the programme as a presenting author. This policy precludes acceptance of papers for more than one presentation. In other words, an author can submit and present only one paper.
