He became a Fellow of Trinity College, Dublin in 2016 and joined the Board of the University in 2018. He is the University&#8217;s Board member of the Audit Committee and is also a Board member of the University&#8217;s Innovation &amp; Entrepreneurship Hub. He is Chairperson of the Centre for Research on Self-Employment (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.crse.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.crse.co.uk<\/a>) &#8211; the London-based IPSE international think tank on freelancing. Previously he held the Bettany Chair of Entrepreneurship at Cranfield School of Management where he was founder and Director of the Bettany Centre for Entrepreneurship. He was also a Board Member of Cranfield Ventures Limited &#8211; Cranfield University&#8217;s tech transfer unit \u2013 and Director of the Cranfield Business Growth Programme (BGP). He also served as Director of Graduate Programmes and a member of the Executive at Cranfield School of Management. He was a Visiting Professor at the Anderson School of Management, UCLA, USA in 2002 and 2012. He was a Research Professor at the Max Planck Institute for Economics, Germany from 2003-2009. He has also been on the faculty of Warwick Business School, the University of Edinburgh, Balliol College Oxford and the University of St Andrews.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He is widely published in top ranked international journals including the Harvard Business Review, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Regional Studies, International Journal of Industrial Organization, the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, and Small Business Economics. His work has been presented at the EU Commission, World Trade Organization, HM&#8217;s Treasury, UK Houses of Commons and Lords as well as through media such as BBC Breakfast Television and the Working Lunch. Andrew is founding Editor of the International Review of Entrepreneurship, an Editor of Small Business Economics and was a Guest Editor of the International Journal of Industrial Organization. He is on the editorial boards of the International Journal of Business Innovation and Research and the International Journal of Research, Innovation and Commercialization. Ibec is Ireland\u2019s largest business representative organisation and the country\u2019s largest lobbying group. It has 240 staff in seven locations and has 38 sectoral brands and substantial presence within the European Union through Ibec\u2019s Brussels office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prior to joining Ibec, Danny was a senior economist at both the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) and the Central Bank of Ireland in Dublin. He has held lecturing posts at Dublin City University, University College London, University of Oxford and Trinity College Dublin. He has been a consultant for the European Commission and the OECD. He has been a member of the Irish National Competitiveness Council, the National Economic and Social Council, the Commission on Taxation and the National Training Agency.
